According to customs data, in August 2025, the export volume of domestic polyester filament yarn reached 308,600 tonnes, up 16.49% month-on-month and 11.65% year-on-year. Affected by seasonal factors, this reversed the month-on-month decline in exports of domestic polyester filament yarn that had occurred since June. In terms of year-on-year data, the export volume continued to register significant growth for most of the year. This indicates that as pressure on domestic sales gradually increases, some polyester filament yarn factories have stepped up their export efforts to maintain stability in domestic sales prices to a certain extent.
By product type:

- In August, the export of POY (Partially Oriented Yarn) was 56,500 tonnes, up 9.62% month-on-month but down 6.3% year-on-year, making it the only one of the three major product types with a year-on-year decline in exports.
- The export of FDY (Fully Drawn Yarn) stood at 52,400 tonnes, rising 16.97% month-on-month and 10.44% year-on-year.
- The export of DTY (Draw Textured Yarn) reached 199,700 tonnes, increasing by 18.47% month-on-month and 18.41% year-on-year.
From a month-on-month perspective, due to the summer holidays in overseas markets and the impact of shipping cycles, the month-on-month exports of domestic polyester civilian filaments mostly showed a downward trend from June to July. After entering August, to meet the replenishment demand for the Q4 Christmas season, overseas factories placed orders, and domestic polyester civilian filament factories concentrated on delivery, which turned the month-on-month export of domestic polyester civilian filaments from negative to positive.
